Kishore Kumar – The Actor

We all know that Kishore da had exceptional rare quality to exactly imitate many actors voices and thus achieved great heights in his playback singing.. yet I have loved Kishore Kumar – The Actor equally strongly..
On his 88th birth anniversary the mind goes to songs picturised on him.. sanity has prevailed and instead of three songs from Jhumroo where his Yodelling skills surfaced for the first time only the title song is retained .. and big films like Padosan and Door Ka Raahi could be included. A song from Manmauji replaced a duet from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.
The sequel is dedicated to a great niece Anita Sharma in Perth.. Many Happy Returns of the Day Kishore Da and dear Anita.. The dedications are also extended to a dear friend Ram Gopalan.. he suggested to let RMSGs to continue and I could not resist and decided to persist for some more time.. loved the way he said Keep’em coming.. Interestingly he must have joined IIT Delhi the year I left the KV at IIT Delhi Campus to join Hindu College, where his wife Kavita Murthi was to be a batch-mate for five years.. Love you Anna.. I do not know what would they call a brother-in-law in Tamil.. it is OK. The number one song on popularity is indeed my choice as his best song from his films and a new younger sister found in Rajni Raghav Pandey (KV NMR JNU Campus) also feels that indeed ‘Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi’ is a truly great song.
